Side chat
The side chat answers a quick question beside a chat tab's conversation, without adding it to the chat. Press ⌘/ and ask in a panel above the message box; Claude knows everything said so far and answers fast.

Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”With the conversation, or without it
With Include chat ticked, Claude answers from a copy of this chat’s conversation. Untick it for a fresh Claude in the same folder that knows none of it. Switching after you’ve asked starts the side chat over, so Multee checks first.
Ask while Claude works
The chat carries on with its task while you ask on the side, and each answers on its own. If the chat stops to ask you something, the panel says The chat needs you — go back to answer it: click it to go back.
It clears itself
The menu in the panel’s header counts down: a side chat is cleared 30 minutes or 24 hours after its last message, or kept until you delete it. Quitting Multee doesn’t clear it. The trash deletes it now, and closing its chat tab does too.
Keep it as a chat tab
The open-as-tab button turns the side conversation into a chat tab of its own, titled “Side:” and the start of your first question, so you can carry on there. The next side chat in this tab starts fresh.
